Election of Cedar Hill PID#1 Board Members Coming Up! 
  
September is election month for the Cedar Hill Public Improvement District #1, more commonly known as the High Pointe PID (HPPID). 
  
Three positions on the board will be up for election, and we would like to urge any High Pointe resident interestested in serving the community to run for one of the Board positions. All positions are at-large, and the three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected. 
  
The High Pointe Public Improvement District has accomplished so much since it's inception; however, it takes dedicated people from the community to step up to the plate to make decisions that affect what High Pointe will look like in times to come. The PID manages nearly $350,000 annually. 
  
NOW is the time for YOU to consider giving a little of your time back to your community! 
  
Being elected to the PID board means attending several meetings during the year. Generally, the board meets in October, November, February, April, May, June, August, and September. The meetings normally last from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The board is comprised of seven individuals, all of whom are HighPointe homeowners. Board elected positions consist of a president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. In addition there are committees that will meet occasionally to consider such things as fencing, landscaping, police patrol, city partnership programs and other items vital to this community. 
If you are considering running for the PID Board, you need to submit the following: 
  
Short bio sketch including your name and address and how long you lived in High Pointe;
Reason why you want to be on the PID Board. If you would like to include other pertinent information, feel free to do so, but remember to keep it short.
All information must be received no later than 12:00 noon, August 30, 2010.

Notice of Meeting, Board of Directors
Cedar Hill Public Improvement District # 1 at High Pointe (HPPID)
 
The Board of Directors of the Cedar Hill Public Improvement District #1 at High Pointe (HPPID) will conduct its next meeting on Thursday, August 12, 2010. The meeting will begin at  6:30 p.m. at High Pointe Baptist Church, Room 5101 High Pointe Lane, Cedar  Hill, Texas 75104.  This meeting is a regularly scheduled meeting of the HPPID Board of Directors and is for the purpose of conducting business matters that impact on the High Pointe community. The meeting is open to the public and all interested residents are invited to attend.  The meeting location is accessible to the handicapped.  Additional information is available by email to hppid@highpointeinfo.com, or from the HPPID web site at www.highpointeinfo.com.
